Poliya Zero 321 Unsaturated Polyester Resin
321-ZERO is a non-shrinkage unsaturated polyester resin designed for rapid mold making. This resin is thixotropic and contains accelerators and fillers. Polya Zero 321 Unsaturated Polyester Resin hardens quickly and completes the curing process due to its special formulation. As a result, problems such as shrinkage, rotation or deformation do not occur in the molds. This resin also eliminates the effect of fiber traces behind the gelcoat and creates a glossy and glassy surface.
Highlights:
- No shrinkage: Due to the lack of shrinkage, it completely maintains the dimensions of the models.
- High speed: Unlike conventional polyester resins, there is no need to wait between layers, saving up to 80% in time and labor costs.
- Low emission: Due to the low styrene content and LSE structure (low styrene emission), it significantly reduces the emission of gases.
- Glossy surfaces: Ideal for producing glossy and mirror-like molds.
- High mechanical and thermal resistance: Molds produced with Polya Zero 321 unsaturated polyester resin have high mechanical and thermal resistance and have a long service life.
- Can be used for manual and spray methods: Suitable for manual and spray gun use.

Liquid State Specifications:
- Color: Tan
- Density: 1.38 g/cm3 (according to ISO 1675 standard)
- Viscosity: 800-900 centipoise (according to ISO 2555 standard)
- Monomer percentage: 31-35%
- Gel time (in winter): 25-35 minutes at 23°C with 2 ml MEK-P
- Gel time (in summer): 40-45 minutes
Steps of use (for making molds) Standard):
- Gelcoat application: Use Polijel F/P 220 gelcoat 600-800 microns thick in at least two coats with 1-2% MEK-P.
- Surface mesh and Polipol 321-ZERO are applied over the gelcoat.
- Fiber layering: 5-6 layers of 300 g/m2 glass fiber or 4-5 layers of 450 g/m2 with Polya Zero 321 unsaturated polyester resin (in a “wet-on-wet” manner).
- Repetition: After cooling, the previous steps are repeated again.
For high-performance molds (such as RTM molds and Thermoform), Polijel F/P 272 gelcoat and products such as Polives 701-TA are used.
Important notes:
- To maintain the non-shrinkage properties of Polya Zero 321 unsaturated polyester resin, at least 3-4 layers of 450 g/m2 or 4-5 layers of 300 g/m2 of glass fiber should be applied “wet on wet” in one step.
- At temperatures below 15 ° C, satisfactory results will not be achieved.
