Product Description
Farapol I 217 resin is an unsaturated polyester resin based on isophthalic acid and standard glycols, which are dissolved in and crosslinked with styrene monomer. The product has moderate reactivity and offers good mechanical performance with a combination of good elongation at break and high heat deflection temperature (HDT). I 217 resin has corrosion resistance, flexibility, crack resistance and impact resistance.
Applications and Uses
This resin is designed for the production of parts using Filament Winding, Hand Lay-Up, Spray-Up, BMC, Pultrusion and Mesh Plate Molding processes. The production of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) tanks and pipes and marine applications are among the most important applications of this resin.
