Unsaturated polyester resin
For many general applications where the molded product is used at ambient temperature, satisfactory sheets can be produced without post-curing at elevated temperatures, provided that the shop temperature is not lower than 20°C.
- More sensitive applications: In cases where optimal properties such as better chemical and mechanical resistance are required, or the product service temperature is higher than ambient temperature, post-curing at elevated temperature is recommended. The optimum temperature for NAD-1104 unsaturated polyester resin is around 80°C.
- Post-curing process:
- After removing the product from the mold, place it for 24 hours at a workshop temperature not lower than 20°C for maturity.
- Before starting post-curing, place the part in the oven and use appropriate support to prevent warping.
- Gradually increase the oven temperature in 10°C steps from ambient temperature to 80°C.
- Keep the product at this temperature for 3 hours.
- After completion, turn off the oven and allow the product to Cool down.
- It is recommended that this post-curing be done immediately after the 24-hour maturation period.
Storage conditions
Unsaturated polyester resin NAD-1104 is a product that is sensitive to temperature, light and oxidation, so it should be stored under the following conditions:
- Indoor, dry and dark
- At a temperature between 5 and 25°C
- Store in original and unopened containers.
- Avoid exposure to sunlight.
If stored outdoors, it is recommended Barrels can be placed horizontally to prevent possible water infiltration.
Packaging
NAD-1104 unsaturated polyester resin is supplied in 200 kg barrels.
Shelf life
The minimum shelf life of the product is 4 months after production.
